Our family loves rainy days in San Antonio.
Staying home, taking naps... these are a few of our favorite things.
We also had a great Holy Week and Easter.
We went to the zoo with some friends.. the great stroller brigade, went to a tee-ball game, an Easter Egg hunt with MOPS, and an Easter party at the Davis household.
As I am typing, baby boy is moving up a storm, reminding me to include him in the post. He is continually growing, as am I, and has a great heartbeat. We have not started on anything for his nursery yet, hope he doesn't mind pink! Since we have a round crib, I need to find some fabric to make sheets with, and then we will pick paint, go through all the toys, get it ready for infancy again, and move Lauren to a big girl room. Which, is a tale all in itself. We are in the middle of looking for a bedroom set for her that we both agree on. Mark wants white so we can paint the room sage green and add wainscoting. I like this idea, BUT, we already have brown furniture and all we need is a brown bed frame. It will all come together within the next 3 months. This pregnancy is going by faster than I expected, so we might just run out of time! :)
Another goal we had for Lauren was to be potty-trained before the new baby got here, but she is completely not ready. Actually, just this past week she will sit on the toddler learning potty without a diaper. We sat on it for a half hour yesterday, and nothing, not even a drop. So, I am not going to rush anything. We will work on it and when she is ready, we will get it rolling. She is actually also starting to make choices about dressing, and I am teaching her how to dress herself.
I also found a great new website, www.productiveparenting.com, that has been helpful with every day activities for Lauren and I since I stay at home with her.
Enjoy the pictures!
