Thanks Amanda for sending me to this website! The cutest backgrounds! Now, my blog is not so blah!

The Swayze family goes about 100 mph during the holiday season, but we love it. We traveled to Whitewright for Thanksgiving and had a great time with family. Lauren fed some aggressive ducks, ate a lot of turkey, slept really well, and had fun with her three cousins. For Christmas, we will be in San Antonio, and then back up to Whitewright for Lauren's birthday and New Years.

Right now, I am planning her 2nd birthday party for this Saturday! (Even though it isn't until the 29th, but we are having a little early fun.) The theme is "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star," and it has been fun making everything star-like. Fudge, cookies, rice krispy treats. YUM! I made the invitations myself, and once I find the camera cord to hook up to the computer, I can show you. And, my little sweet thing can sing most of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star now. ADORABLE. I need to videotape it so you can see her and hear her, it is hilarious.

She also talks in somewhat sentences. "Where'd Daddy go?" is her favorite one at the moment because she loves looking and finding things. She loves looking at the Christmas lights and snowmen. Yesterday, we saw Santa in the mall, and although she wouldn't go up to him, she also wouldn't leave. She hid behind the stroller, found a spot to look through, and stared. It was hilarious!

And, to finish off the random-ness of this blog post, here are some pictures from Sesame Street Live, When Elmo Grows Up.

Oh, this is our ladybug family, minus Mark, for Halloween. Yes, he too, wore ladybug stuff!
