...it's been a while...

Well, Weaning is going great! That is all. I love the freedom! :) Ahh, life before nursing!

Mark and I went up to Whitewright for Thanksgiving with my family, and of course, it was drama-filled and fun, as usual. We did Christmas while we were up there, so Lauren got more than she ever needs- which means I have to get creative with Christmas gifts for her, and then her birthday 4 days later. But, I am starting to slowly tackle it all.. very slowly. I think we are finally going to decorate her bathroom for her birthday, and she is getting small things for Christmas, since she doesn't know the difference- bath toys, dvds for later on, a bow holder, maybe some picture frames for her room. Oh, the beauty of having a baby who doesn't know, just yet. She is also getting a wagon for her birthday from my parents. Yay! I am really excited about the wagon because I love to take walks with her, and we have a zoo pass, so we will be able to load it up since our stroller doesn't really have any cargo room. Stupid stroller!

Have I told you guys about my overly-friendly neighbors yet? Well, let me just tell you (oh no, I have become the nosy neighbor that everyone avoids) that the mother was on crutches last week with both feet in walking boots... and long story short, she had her TOES SHORTENED??!!! Who does that? Who has money to do that? Okay, so if you have a funny story that can beat that.... I would love to hear it.

And, our daschund has ringworm. DISGUSTING. Poor thing hates being by himself and loves to be pet, but not until he gets better. I can only imagine Lauren getting it, and then she'd be miserable. So, we are trying to keep them apart. Although, my daughter goes everywhere now. She is one fast cookie with this crawling. Now, she is standing, and taking steps while I hold onto her hands. Oh, the simple days of laying her down and not having to worry about her getting into things I have let out. She is great though, 4 teeth and 1 on the way. She is a trooper though, and we have started brushing, which is a whole new adventure I am sure. So far, she doesn't like the thimble-like finger brush in her mouth unless I pretend to eat it. Oh, I could write a book about stories around the house and my neighborhood.

Mark and I have 8 friends that are pregnant right now. WoW! 8!!!! Something's in the water.... I am staying away! I still remember all to well all-nighters with Lauren. Maybe because she pulled one on the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving.. Yes, you heard me.. Mark and I got maybe 2 hours of sleep combined. But, that's okay, somehow, you get through it and you sleep harder and longer the next night.
